With our newest batch we started with a single origins Atherton Tablelands cold extracted coffee from a local roaster. We then add a small amount of invert sugar (1/10th what you might expect from other coffee liqueurs).
In an exciting twist we blend the coffee with spirit that has rested in our ex Rhum (ex 40 year old Pedro Ximenez) 100L barrels. The result is a strong coffee liqueur with a long complex finish, perfect for an Espresso Martini. Which is exactly how you should try it in our bar!
Our 2019 spirit won a bronze at the 2020 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards, but is massively improved now that we extract our own fresh coffee. Expect big things in the future for this spirit.
As part of our limited edition range, this beautiful frosted glass bottle is made in small batches of less than 300 bottles. Generally these recipes are exciting flavour experiments, where we adjust a classic spirit to give it our own unique flavour.
