Juniper, Carrot, Sage, Grapefruit Peel, and Kaffir Lime
4101 is named for our postcode in West End, and demonstrates an intriguing flavour profile much loved by the locals. A sweet herbaceous note from sage is initially present , followed by more delicate citrus characteristics of both Pink Grapefruit and Mangrut (Kaffir) Lime leaf. Juniper makes itself present immediately on the palate, dovetailing into both sweet and savoury notes from the carrot. The finish is long, and simultaneously both floral and dry.
4101 is superb with both tonic or soda water, and equally refreshing with pink grapefruit soda. Garnishing with grapefruit and sage both assist in making these flavors more pronounced, or pickled dutch carrots for the more adventurous.
4101 also shows well in a Negroni, where the delicate citrus notes become more prevalent, and rewards martini drinkers with delicious results.
